Marketing and Partnership Development Specialist

Location: Boston, MA, USA     Job type: Hybrid remote, Full-time

We are a firm of experts in academic and research communications. Accdon operates across three major brands to provide scientists, publishers, and universities with effective solutions and leading advances in scholarly publishing. We are hiring a marketing and partnership development specialist to continue growing our business relationships and lead novel projects in outreach and communications. Accdon operates under academically trained leadership who facilitate challenging and varied responsibilities for all team members. This presents unique opportunities for experiential learning, personal growth, and career advancement. We welcome applications from various career stages and backgrounds. Recent graduates and candidates transitioning from a PhD or post-doc will be given full consideration. Responsibilities for marketing and partnership development specialist: Lead marketing efforts to insitutional clients, and manage partnership relationships according to business development needs Oversee the development and management of educational outreach initiatives Interact with designated personnel of universities, global publishers, and academic societies to facilitate novel editorial and visual communications opportunities Manage logistics and company representation at industry and academic conferences; travel required (10%) Under the direction of the Senior Manager, develop a personal KOL reputation via committee participation, speaking opportunities, and successful proposal submission across various professional organizations within scholarly publishing Reports to Senior Manager, Communications & Partnerships Required qualifications: Advanced academic degree or equivalent research experience Excellent communication skills (i.e., written, verbal, and in-person) High level of self-motivation and personal accountability; highly organized and process-driven Familiar with scholarly publications Expertise with the Google and Microsoft Office suites Working knowledge and capacity to learn operation-critical Adobe applications (e.g., Adobe Acrobat) Please submit your CV along with a cover letter. Editorial Partnerships Strategist

Responsibilities for Editorial Partnerships Strategist: · Manage and execute scientific communications partnerships according to business development needs · Interact with designated personnel of nationally leading institutions (e.g., universities and federal agencies) and large, multi-national organizations (e.g., global publishers and R&D firms) to facilitate novel editorial and visual communications opportunities · Manage logistics and company representation at industry and academic conferences; travel required (10%) · Under the direction of the Senior Manager, develop a personal KOL reputation via committee participation, speaking opportunities, and successful proposal submission across various professional organizations within scholarly publishing · Evaluate workflow issues within corresponding teams to provide recommendations for internal process optimization to ensure efficiency and productivity · Liaison between various internal teams including operations, communications, and partnership development · Reports to Senior Manager, Communications & Partnerships Required qualifications: Advanced academic degree or equivalent research experience Track record of successful scholarly publications Excellent communication skills (i.e., written, verbal, and in-person) and the ability quickly establish accurate audience profiles Should possess strong critical thinking and the ability to make sound judgement calls that facilitate project progress High level of self-motivation and personal accountability; highly organized and process-driven Expertise with the Google and Microsoft Office suites Working knowledge and capacity to learn operation-critical Adobe applications (e.g., Adobe Acrobat) Please submit your CV along with a cover letter.
